Enabling Browser Camera Permissions
How to Reenable Camera Access in Your Web Browser
Chrome (Android)
- To the right of the address bar, tap the three dots (menu) next to the address bar.
- Select Settings.
- Go to Site settings > Camera.
- Turn the camera on. If the site is blocked, select the site and change the setting to Allow. If it still doesn’t work:
- Go to your device's Settings.
- Find Apps > Chrome > Permissions.
- Make sure Camera permission is turned on.
Chrome (iOS)
- Navigate back one page or reload the page. You should see a prompt to allow camera access. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to Settings on your device.
- Find Chrome.
- Make sure the Camera is switched on or set to Allow.
Chrome (Mac)
- Click the lock icon near the web address.
- Under Camera, click the switch to enable the camera. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure camera access is on for Google Chrome.
Chrome (Windows)
- Click the lock icon near the web address.
- Under Camera, change the dropdown from Block to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to Windows Settings.
- Select Privacy > Camera.
- Make sure Camera access is turned on for Chrome.
- In Camera settings, go to Choose which Microsoft apps can access your camera.
- Turn on access for Chrome.
Safari (iOS)
- Tap the "AA" icon near the web address.
- Choose Website Settings.
- Set the Camera option to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to Settings on your device.
- Find Safari.
- Make sure Camera is set to Allow.
Safari (MacOS)
- Open Safari Settings.
- Go to the Websites tab.
- Find the Camera section.
- Change access to Allow.
Firefox (Android)
- Tap the three dots (menu) next to the address bar.
- Select Settings > Site permissions > Camera.
- Change the setting to Allow. If it still doesn’t work:
- Go to your device's Settings.
- Find Apps > Firefox > Permissions.
- Turn the Camera permission on.
Firefox (Windows)
- Click the lock icon near the web address.
- Change the camera setting from Blocked to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to Windows Settings.
- Select Privacy > Camera.
- Make sure camera access is on for Firefox.
Firefox (Mac)
- Click the permissions icon near the web address.
- Change the camera setting from Blocked to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure camera access is on for Firefox.
Microsoft Edge (Windows)
- Click the lock icon near the web address.
- Under Permissions for this site, set Camera to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to Windows Settings.
- Select Privacy > Camera.
- Ensure camera access is on for Edge.
Microsoft Edge (Mac)
- Click the lock icon near the web address.
- Under Permissions for this site, set Camera to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
- Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure camera access is on for Microsoft Edge.
