How to Reenable Camera Access in Your Web Browser

Chrome (Android)

  1. To the right of the address bar, tap the three dots (menu) next to the address bar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Go to Site settings > Camera.
  4. Turn the camera on. If the site is blocked, select the site and change the setting to Allow. If it still doesn’t work:
    1. Go to your device's Settings.
    2. Find Apps > Chrome > Permissions.
    3. Make sure Camera permission is turned on.

Chrome (iOS)

  1. Navigate back one page or reload the page. You should see a prompt to allow camera access. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to Settings on your device.
    2. Find Chrome.
    3. Make sure the Camera is switched on or set to Allow.

Chrome (Mac)

  1. Click the lock icon near the web address.
  2. Under Camera, click the switch to enable the camera. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
    2. Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
    3. Ensure camera access is on for Google Chrome.

Chrome (Windows)

  1. Click the lock icon near the web address.
  2. Under Camera, change the dropdown from Block to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to Windows Settings.
    2. Select Privacy > Camera.
    3. Make sure Camera access is turned on for Chrome.
    4. In Camera settings, go to Choose which Microsoft apps can access your camera.
    5. Turn on access for Chrome.

Safari (iOS)

  1. Tap the "AA" icon near the web address.
  2. Choose Website Settings.
  3. Set the Camera option to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to Settings on your device.
    2. Find Safari.
    3. Make sure Camera is set to Allow.

Safari (MacOS)

  1. Open Safari Settings.
  2. Go to the Websites tab.
  3. Find the Camera section.
  4. Change access to Allow.

Firefox (Android)

  1. Tap the three dots (menu) next to the address bar.
  2. Select Settings > Site permissions > Camera.
  3. Change the setting to Allow. If it still doesn’t work:
    1. Go to your device's Settings.
    2. Find Apps > Firefox > Permissions.
    3. Turn the Camera permission on.

Firefox (Windows)

  1. Click the lock icon near the web address.
  2. Change the camera setting from Blocked to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to Windows Settings.
    2. Select Privacy > Camera.
    3. Make sure camera access is on for Firefox.

Firefox (Mac)

  1. Click the permissions icon near the web address.
  2. Change the camera setting from Blocked to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
    2. Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
    3. Ensure camera access is on for Firefox.

Microsoft Edge (Windows)

  1. Click the lock icon near the web address.
  2. Under Permissions for this site, set Camera to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to Windows Settings.
    2. Select Privacy > Camera.
    3. Ensure camera access is on for Edge.

Microsoft Edge (Mac)

  1. Click the lock icon near the web address.
  2. Under Permissions for this site, set Camera to Allow. If that doesn’t work:
    1. Go to your Mac’s System Settings.
    2. Select Privacy & Security > Camera.
    3. Ensure camera access is on for Microsoft Edge.
